Part 5 Other Key Properties

This section focuses interpretation and education planning on five important but less visited properties in the David Thompson Corridor. Each chapter encompasses our planning process for one to two sites.

Chapter 23: White Goat and Siffleur Wilderness Areas

These are the district’s two largest sites. They are designed for on-foot back-country travel. The site is managed to protect and perpetuate a wilderness visitor experience.

Chapter 24: Fish Lake Provincial Recreation Area

This is a small popular recreation area situated in the foothills region of the district. Its attractions include rustic camping and fishing.

Chapter 25: Crescent Falls Provincial Recreation Area

This small recreation area is located in an unspoiled section of the Front Ranges of the Rocky Mountains. It features a spectacular river gorge and a series of beautiful waterfalls.

Chapter 26: Thompson River Provincial Recreation Area

This easily accessible recreation area is located near the western edge of the district and affords views of the Main Ranges of the Rocky Mountains and a large prescribed burn area.
